Important: All blockchain data is public and permanent. Anyone can view messages and associated wallet addresses on the blockchain.

We may collect minimal technical information necessary for the application to function:

• Network connection data for blockchain interactions
• Browser information for compatibility
• Error logs for debugging purposes

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

BaseChan does not collect:

• Personal identifying information (name, email, phone number)
• Private keys or seed phrases
• Location data
• Browsing history outside of BaseChan
• Financial information beyond public blockchain transactions

5. Blockchain Privacy Considerations

Public Nature: All messages posted on BaseChan are stored on the public base and are visible to anyone with access to the blockchain. This information cannot be deleted or modified once posted.

Permanence: Blockchain transactions cannot be deleted, modified, or made private after confirmation.

Pseudonymous: While wallet addresses don't directly reveal identity, they can potentially be linked to you through various means.

6. Third-Party Integrations

6.1 Farcaster Integration

BaseChan integrates with Farcaster for enhanced social features. When using Farcaster features, you are subject to Farcaster's privacy policy and terms of service.

6.2 Wallet Providers

When connecting your wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc.), you are subject to their respective privacy policies. We do not have access to your private keys or seed phrases.

6.3 Blockchain Infrastructure

We use various blockchain infrastructure providers to access base. These providers may have their own privacy policies and data handling practices.

While we implement reasonable security measures for our application infrastructure:

Note: Due to the decentralized nature of blockchain, we cannot delete or modify your data once it's recorded on the blockchain.

BaseChan is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
